PIPS Lifestyle American Rules — Fives to 150, played like the classic table. Seven bones each; the other 14 wait in the boneyard. The first hand of a game opens with the highest double — the only forced play in the game. After that, whoever wins the hand controls the board and opens the next hand with any bone they choose. The first double laid each hand becomes the spinner — the one bone that plays four ways. The spinner's two sides come first; its corner arms open once both sides are covered. Every other double plays on the ends only. You score when the count — the spinner plus all open ends — hits a multiple of five (5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30). The spinner counts both halves until both its sides are played, and a double on any end counts both halves. No play? Draw from the boneyard until you can; when the yard is empty, you pass. Domino out — or be the lighter hand on a locked board — and you also collect your opponent's leftover spots, rounded up to the nearest five. First-hand rule: on the opening hand of a game you must have at least 15 on the board to collect — short of 15, the domino wins the hand and the board, but collects nothing. From the second hand on, the dominoer always collects. Your first score must be 10 or better to get on the board; a lone 5 before that doesn't count. First to 150 wins the match.
